Terms of Service

Last updated: May 6, 2026

By accessing or using codetools.run (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors and users.

1. Description of Service

codetools.run provides a collection of free, browser-based developer utilities such as formatters, encoders, generators and converters. All tools execute entirely in your browser using native Web APIs. The Site does not require sign-up, accept payment or run server-side processing of user input.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use any tool to process content that violates applicable laws (for example, generating credentials for systems you are not authorized to access).
  • Attempt to disrupt the Site, its hosting infrastructure, or other users (no scraping at high volume, no denial-of-service attempts, no exploit fuzzing).
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source beyond what is publicly served by the Site.
  • Embed the Site or its tools in products that compete directly with codetools.run without prior written permission.

3. Intellectual Property

The codetools.run name, logo, design and original content (blog articles, tool descriptions, illustrations) are the property of the Site operator. You may link to the Site freely. You may quote brief excerpts from blog content with attribution. The MIT license, OFL fonts and other open-source licenses governing the libraries the Site is built on are listed in the project's public manifests where applicable.

4. User-Provided Content

You retain full ownership of any content you process through the tools (JSON you format, tokens you decode, images you compress, and so on). Because this content never leaves your browser, the Site neither stores nor licenses it. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to process and for ensuring you have the right to do so.

5. No Warranty

The Site and all tools are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we test our tools carefully, we do not guarantee that they are bug-free, that the output is correct in every edge case, or that the Site will be uninterruptedly available. You should always validate important results independently, especially when working with cryptographic operations, regular expressions or data conversions where correctness is critical.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, codetools.run and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses resulting from your access to or use of the Site or its tools. Total cumulative liability shall not exceed one US dollar.

7. Third-Party Services

The Site uses Google Analytics for usage measurement and Google AdSense for advertising. Their use is governed by Google's respective terms of service and privacy policy. The Site is not responsible for the content of ads served by AdSense. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the Site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change implies acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will highlight the change at the top of this page.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye, unless a different forum is required by mandatory consumer-protection law.
